Energy Management

One way to reduce energy consumption, is to manage the devices and appliances that consume energy.

For example, a programmable thermostat that reduces heating and cooling during the day when no one is at home will reduce energy consumption, compared to a simple thermostat that is always left at the same temperature, or adjusted when and if the occupants remember on their way out of the house.

A programmable thermostat for the home is a good start.

There are much more sophisticated solutions, especially for commercial and industrial applications.
